GLONASS beacon «Viurok» (the beacon) is designed to accompany the goods (including covert) or search for vehicles and other moving objects.

The beacon placed surreptitiously on the vehicle or cargo tracking, it does not require any connection, pairing, interaction with followed object and is completely autonomous. For a quick mounting on the object with the presence of any steel surface the beacon body has a powerful magnet. In the normal state the beacon is in sleep mode and cannot be detected by intruder with help of direction-finding.

In case of vehicle theft, loss of cargo the beacon is activated remotely, goes into active mode, determines its location on the earth's surface by means of a satellite global positioning system (GPS / GLONASS) and sends the coordinates to the Desk of Central Monitoring and / or to the user's mobile phone.

In addition to precise positioning, via GPS/GLONASS systems, the beacon can determine approximate location of the nearest mobile communication base stations. This method is faster, energy efficiency and works in the absence of GPS/GLONASS signals.

The coordinates in SMS form can be sent as text or as a link to point on Google Maps or Yandex Maps.

Viurok has a built-in microphone to allow for the acoustic listening room, where there is a beacon (in active mode).

Viurok can be used to work with DCM* server (in this case DCM made its configuration, control and monitoring of the beacon), and completely independently - in this case the user has enough mobile phone to make full use of the beacon. (*Desk of Central Monitoring).

While in active mode, the beacon continuously determines its coordinates on the earth's surface and transmits them to the Desk of Central Monitoring with his status; thus, DCM can fixed all movements track of beacon. In addition, the current position can be transmitted to the user's mobile phone via SMS upon request, also send an SMS of a certain format.

In passive mode, a beacon, depending on the settings, can determine or not its coordinates and pass them to the server or SMS at specified intervals, such as once a day. In the pause between transmissions the device is fully turned off, is not registered in GSM network and cannot be detected by radio emission.

Communication channels

The beacon works in GSM network 900/1800 MHz ranges, Phase 2+, class 4 (900 MHz, 2 W) и class 1 (1800 MHz, 1 W). The information is transmitted via GPRS class 8.

Identification in GSM networks via embedded MTS SIM chip having high reliability and wide temperature range. The device does not require the use of SIM card.

Positioning

GPS/GLONASS receiver based on Simcom chipset, has a built-in low noise amplifier and SAW filter, ensuring reliable operation in a weak and reflected signals (in the room).

GPS/GLONASS sensitivity: -167 dBm (tracking mode), -148 dBm (capture mode). Number of channels: 99 (detection), 33 (capture). The cold start time less than 30 sec. The coordinates determining accuracy not worse than 3 m in open space and no worse than 30 m indoors.

Operation modes

The beacon can be in one of three modes.

Turned off mode - the battery is not consumed, the device is completely switched off and does not communicate with the Monitoring Desk. Bring out a beacon from this mode only by pressing the "Start" button.

Passive mode - the device is in a sleep state, but it wake up and accepts an SMS or commands from DCM with the specified settings period. In the settings you can specify that whenever spillage, or some multiple the device determines the coordinates and transmit them to the DCM and / or an SMS. In passive mode, the battery power consumption is minimal (battery is consumed only in communication sessions), the beacon can be in this state up to several years.

Active mode - the beacon continuously determines its coordinates and sends them to DCM and/or SMS. In active mode, acoustic control is available. Active mode can be repeatedly turned on or off by SMS or commands from DCM (during a regular communication session). Battery consumption in active mode is significant, the device can operate in such a mode up to several days.

Control and display

The beacon has "Start" button, intended for one-time activation, and LED indicator for fixing start of work. Further beacon control and its operation monitoring are carried out by sent and received SMS messages or through a DCM server.

Power

The beacon is powered by the built-in lithium thionylchloride battery ER18505M, battery life is 10 years. The unit is in the passive mode - 3 years, while working in active mode - several days. The device operating time from one battery in active and passive modes strongly depends on the configuration and operating conditions; these values are given as a reference, they roughly correspond to the factory settings. By relevant settings can be achieved as more and less working time.

The beacon monitors the battery status and sends an appropriate message if the battery up to 40, 30, 20 and 10 percent of its original capacity.

 

The beacon is designed for operation at temperatures from -20°C to +40°C, with relative humidity to 90% at 25°C.

The beacon provides electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with a group of hardness 3 according to GOST  50009-92.

In the beacon case is mounted a powerful neodymium magnet that makes it easy to fix the device on the steel surface.

The dimensions of the beacon is 66 x 60 x 24 mm, weight not more than 200 g.
